Emerging Technologies :)

I read about the Light-Field Photography. An assumption I can make about the future technology is that with this camera you can get sharper and better focused pictures. The thing that surprised me the most is the size of the camera. For such a great quality there isn't much to the camera. I don't know if there is a possibility that this will develop further in the future. There is nothing from 2009 that was emerging that i have noticed to be used now.

Technology is important because it keeps everyone in contact. Over the past 5 years technology has changed tremendously by phones becoming more like little hand held laptops. In the next five years i can see us having flying cars, faster phones and Internet, no more desktop computers, and only laptops. In school for technology i use computers,a camera, and calculator. For my personal use of technology i use a camera, computer, my cellular device, and an iPod. I think I could possibly use blogging and a spreadsheet in my future. I think that using word, spreadsheets, and possibly powerpoint. I will most likely never use podcast or  delicious.My favorite to create was voki. My least favorite thing to create was my delicious feed. 

Podcast :)

The podcast that i had listened to was about music. It talked about what music was, why it moves us, how the brain processes sound, and why some people are better at it then others. I liked learning things like this better then having to read things. I think people make podcast's opposed to written text because it is easier to comprehend. I think that the podcast i listened to was accurate but i do believe that many podcast's are opinionated.

Comparing Voki & Blabberize :)

Voki & Blabberize are both great sites. I honestly thought that Voki was easier to use. On voki all you really had to do was make your avatar & talk. Blabberize was super easy also the only down side was the hard part was making the lips on your person that you chose to talk as. I personally liked Voki more. I would probably use both again. i could possibly use it in English to talk like a famous author. So overall they are both great sites that I would recommend to other people.

Online Safety Wrap up. :)

The most important aspect of our online safety was to make sure that you are always safe. If you are ever in the situation where you are facing either a online predator or bully then you need to know what you should and should not do. When you are on the internet make sure you use good common sense & follow good netiquette. You should not answer to any personal questions or give out any personal information. Some dangers on the internet is if you are on as social networking site make sure you use your privacy settings because if someone you don't know looks on your profile they could find out many personal things without even befriending you. You should practice good netiquette because how you act on the internet does not only affect you, but also every one else around you on the internet. You should be worried about id theft now because if someone has your social security number then they can ruin your credit before you even have a chance to use it yourself.

Netiquette :)

Netiquette is etiquette of the net, or the unwritten rules of the internet. It pretty much is know what to do on the internet. Netiquette affects everyone on the web. Some examples of good netiquette is not flaming, not spaming & Learking before you leap. Some poor examples of netiquette would be Flaming a friend, Spaming a chat room, & talking about something you think you know verses what you actually know about a topic.  

Social Network :)

Social networking is a site that you can communicate with others. It has five characteristics that you may look at that makes up a social network. The things that make up a social network are if they are user based, Interactive, Community driven, Relationships, & the emotional content. A digital Footprint is a log of everything you do online. Like when you post a picture, update your status, or when you search a web page. Social networks affect digital footprints by having everything that you do on a social network open to view on this digital footprint. That means that any employer or college can look at what you have done on the internet. This means that you need to watch what you put online.

Is downloading music legal?!

Lets face it, Copyright is confusing. Many don't understand how it works & what is considered copyright. The biggest copyright is music. Many people love to take short cuts on paying for music. There many different sites that say that it is 100% legal for you to download this, when in reality it's not. You may wonder; is MP3 legal? The answer is yes, MP3 is just a format that is used to store the music file. It is illegal if you copy the music onto a CD and give it to a friend. You are allowed to make copies if it is only for personal use. The only legal way to share music is on a Peer to peer website. Copyright is a form of protection given to the authors or creators of "original works of authorship". To sum it all up it's illegal for anyone to take any work created by someone else without their permission.

Avril Lavigne VS The Rubinoos - Copyright Case

In 2007, the Rubinoos's sued for plagiarism of their song "I wanna be your Boyfriend" to Avril's song "Girlfriend". Avril's song's chorus was extremely close to The Rubinoos's chorus. In the end, Avril ended up paying money back to the Rubinoos's. My Switzerland Poster :)

Research Project Wrap-up! :)

My favorite part of my presentation was talking about my tour stops. My least favorite part was how I didn't know how to pronounce some of the words so i felt like I was stuttering a lot on what could have been simple words. I learned many new things about Switzerland. The most difficult thing was trying to find more about my tour stops. They were kind of self explanatory so I didn't have much to say in front of the class. In the future I think a good research topic would be finding out the background of your favorite celebrity.

My Year In Review! :)

My highlight of 2011 is meeting some of the most amazing people ever & becoming closer with my cousin. That was probably the best thing that could happen. My low point of 2011 is when my pretty much my whole family moved to Florida. It was probably the worst thing ever, it sucked so bad because I was really close with all of my family. Then it seemed like one day they just picked up and moved. Something that I would like to change about 2011 is losing some of my best friends over stupid things, and also drifting apart from my best friend. My goal for 2012 is to not die on dooms day & be a better friend and person overall, & lastly get healthier. If i was given $100,000 at the beginning of this year i would get a new wardrobe, Move to Tennessee, & help my grandparents get out of debt with what i have left of the money.
