Avril Lavigne VS The Rubinoos - Copyright Case

In 2007, the Rubinoos's sued for plagiarism of their song "I wanna be your Boyfriend" to Avril's song "Girlfriend". Avril's song's chorus was extremely close to The Rubinoos's chorus. In the end, Avril ended up paying money back to the Rubinoos's.
